What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
My favorite animated movies are Mulan and Moana.
What is your favorite children's book?
My favorite children’s book is The Berenstain Bears' New Baby.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
My favorite childhood toys were baby dolls.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My mother. She is so kind and giving, an angel in disguise. Her flaw is that she doesn't know how to say no and sometimes takes on too much.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy triathlons, running, and reading.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I spent a lot of time in hospitals growing up because my uncle had cancer. I knew I wanted to be a nurse at a young age. I also loved babies and kids. After 13 years of bedside nursing, I realized I should move up the ladder when I had ICU physicians asking me what I needed and I could write the admission orders!
