I loved the Harry Potter series as a child because the books encouraged a willingness to help or protect others and curiosity about the deeper meaning of things

Barbie dolls (I would try to customize outfits for them with scraps of fabric)

My mother, because she was a terrific teacher and the first person to foster my love of reading and learning.

I enjoy spending time with my family, taking my Shiba Inu for walks, going to the beach, traveling, watching movies and singing my heart out at concerts!

My passion for pediatrics began when I volunteered at the local orphanage in my Caribbean island, Antigua. Children with disabilities opened my eyes to the profound impact that early access to medical care can have on a child’s life. Their resilience inspired me to advocate for vulnerable children and help them reach their full potential. Today, I am also passionate about promoting literacy in pediatric primary care (I even authored a children's book as a result!). I encourage reading to nurture young minds and strengthen the bond between children and their caregivers.

-My rigorous training at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital exposed me to children with complex medical needs and strengthened my clinical skills and compassionate approach to care.
- My global health experiences, including participating in medical mission trips and training as an international medical graduate, have strengthened my cultural humility and competence
- I build positive relationships through attentive listening, clear communication, and creating a welcoming environment where families feel heard, respected, and confident in their child’s care.
