Doctor Derek, is the most kind and understanding doctor I could ask for. We have never been disappointed with his treatments! He understands and listens, we couldn’t ask for a better doctor for our children!!! And I must add, the staff and everyone in their two offices our the best! Thank you all for what you all do everyday!!!

We had to find a new pediatrician after ours retired. We found a spot closer to home on the Beach side where we met Dr Derek Holman-Hicks and my children were instantly happy and comfortable with him. He is so intelligent, kind, caring,happy and personable with the kids in a fun way, etc. All the best you want in a pediatrician. The office staff are all usually pretty helpful and nice as well.

We have been coming to see Derek at pediatric associates since my son was born. He's 9 now. He is the best pediatrician. He sees both my 12 year old daughter and 9 year old son and we couldn't ask for a better physician. He is very thorough. Always explains everything very well. Always spends as much time as we need with us. He is very knowledgeable. Just too have a physician who will sit there and not make you feel rushed and who genuinely listens and shows they care is so very comforting. He makes the kids feel so comfortable and will spend the time listening to my son's stories or his complaints. He is very 1 on 1 with the kids and asks them questions and listens to them so he can understand why we are there or how they feel rather than just speaking to me. He seems to encourage the kids to speak up about why they may be feeling hurt or sick and let's them get involved in their health and explains everything so they understand too. I trust him and my kids trust him and we are so happy to be patients of his. We need more Dr. Derek's around.

We’ve had such a great experience with this pediatric office, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about Jessica Armstrong. From the moment you walk in, the entire staff is warm, organized, and genuinely caring—but Jessica truly stands out. She’s fantastic at explaining things clearly and helping you understand what’s going on, which brings so much peace of mind as a parent. And her ability to connect with kids is just amazing—she keeps them calm, comfortable, and even smiling during visits that could otherwise be stressful. This office is lucky to have her. If you’re looking for a pediatric practice where you feel supported and truly cared for, this is the place.

I wanted to take a moment to give a well-deserved five-star review to the incredible staff at Pediatric Associates on Jenks Avenue—Jessica A, Joselyn, Brittany, Amber, Ashley, Austin, Amanda, and Stephanie. Every single one of them goes above and beyond to make families feel comfortable, welcomed, and truly cared for. One experience really stood out to me. I had to bring in two of my older children for shots, and as any parent knows, that can be stressful. Stephanie kindly held my newborn so I could focus on my other kids, which meant so much in that moment. While we were getting ready, two other staff members even prepped everything outside the room to keep things calm and smooth. They reassured my kids by telling them they were just checking their muscles and making sure they were growing, which helped ease their nerves. I distracted them with my phone, and before they even realized it, both of them got their shots at the same time. It was quick, efficient, and completely stress-free—no fear, no tears. That level of care and thoughtfulness is something you don’t see everywhere. This team consistently goes the extra mile to make sure children feel safe and unafraid, and it truly makes a difference. On top of that, they are always funny, friendly, and incredibly efficient. The atmosphere is warm and positive every time we visit. The only small issue we’ve ever had hasn’t been with the office itself, but with the call center. Because of that, we usually just stop by the office to schedule appointments, which honestly ends up being easier anyway. We transferred here from another pediatrician, and it was one of the best decisions we’ve made for our family. The entire staff treats us like family, and that kind of genuine care is priceless. I highly recommend Pediatric Associates on Jenks Avenue to any parent looking for a team that truly goes above and beyond.

Every single doctor—Derek, McKenna, Lynn, and Jessica—is absolutely amazing. They don’t just see patients; they take the time to really get to know each child, paying close attention to their individual needs, personalities, and concerns. What makes this practice so special is how personal everything feels. They show such a detailed and sincere interest in every child they meet, never rushing through appointments and always making sure both the kids and parents feel heard and understood. It’s rare to find a team that is not only highly knowledgeable but also so warm and attentive. Over time, I’ve come to know Derek, McKenna, Lynn, and Jessica like family—because that’s exactly how they treat us. They go above and beyond to create a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment, and it truly makes all the difference. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to care for my children. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a pediatric team that genuinely cares. Also, for reference, we switched from Dr Ebid’s office. He is too old (in my opinion) to be practicing. I feel as if he is a bit too rough with children and how he talks to parents. Also, his office staff is rude and extremely unprofessional.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this pediatrician’s office! They are always fast, friendly, and incredibly accommodating—even on days when they’re fully booked, they still find a way to get us in. Every doctor we’ve seen truly listens to our concerns and takes the time to make sure our children feel comfortable and well cared for. The front office staff, especially Stephanie and Amanda, are absolutely wonderful. They are always professional, kind, and so easy to talk to—they really make the whole experience even better. Honestly, I can’t even pick a favorite doctor because we love them ALL ❤️ This office goes above and beyond, and I’m so grateful to have such a caring team for my kids! ALSO- we prefer the jenks Ave location over the other just because the office girls (Stephanie) ❤️❤️

This place always takes good care of us. Front desk staff is polite, helpful, and very patient. At my last visit I was next to a very rude patient and every staff member (Tay, Kendrianna, and Stephanie ) that interacted with her remained calm and professional. It was nice to see. I understand how hard that was and they handled it phenomenally.
